About the Photographer (Derbyshire Photography & Landscape Images)
I’m a photographer based in Derbyshire, UK, an area well known for its natural landscapes, wildlife, and historic scenery. Many of the photographs you’ll find here are taken while exploring the Derbyshire countryside, walking through local towns and villages, and visiting places across the UK that simply caught my attention along the way.
Photography originally started as a way to capture the places I enjoy spending time in. Over time, it developed into a way of documenting the atmosphere and character of different locations — whether that’s wide open landscapes, wildlife encountered along walking routes, or small details in nature that are often missed when passing through an area.
Although Derbyshire is home, I also enjoy travelling and exploring new locations across the UK. Some of the most interesting landscape photography comes from visiting unfamiliar places, taking the time to walk, observe, and experience each environment properly before capturing it through the camera.
Most of these trips aren’t done alone. My girlfriend and our dog usually join me on these walks and photography trips. Our dog, Pickel’s — also known as “Stinky” (you can probably guess why) — is rarely far from the camera and comes along on most of the adventures that lead to the images you see here.
